Since 2008, the International Bund (IB) has been running the 4-star Hotel Friedberger Warte in cooperation with the Best Western Group.
And that is already a little special. At first glance, the hotel business and social work do not seem to harmonize with each other, but there are many points of contact that made our project successful:

And thereby support a charitable idea.

In the model of inter-company training, skilled workers in the hospitality industry, restaurant specialists and cooks were trained in our hotel on behalf of the employment agency. The trainers and social pedagogues on site supported the trainees both personally and professionally. In the years that followed, this extra support enabled many young people to successfully complete their training and then stand on their own two feet. They were well equipped for the future - after all, they had learned under real conditions in a sophisticated 4-star hotel and not in a vocational school without guests.

Today, there are no longer any inter-company apprenticeships offered at the IB Hotel, but we currently have 14 regularly employed apprentices, three students in the dual system and also young people on work experience. We still feel very committed to the idea of training. In our training kitchen, we can also train socially disadvantaged and disabled people to give them the basis for a self-determined life.

Inclusion and diversity are also very important in our company. We currently have three colleagues with severe disabilities working for us.

As part of the IB Group, we are strongly committed to social issues. We are always involved in helping people with disadvantages and in youth education. Whether exam preparation courses or cooking classes or kitchen parties - Hesse's largest training kitchen is the ideal place for cooking events of any kind.

Our 4 star hotel is perfectly connected via the freeway A661 and still centrally located - the trade fair, the Rhine-Main-Airport, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange but also the famous pedestrian zone "Zeil" and the Old Opera Frankfurt are within easy reach.

And thereby ensure regional organic catering.

We deliver freshly prepared meals to daycare centers in the region every day. Our meals are made from predominantly certified organic ingredients and are nutritious, varied and tailored to the needs of the children. The menus are nutritionally in line with the recommendations of the German Nutrition Society (DGE).
